Our Commitment to Clean Sport
Clean Sport is important to all sport and we all have a responsibility to protect it. The regulations exist to protect the health and wellbeing of both horse and rider athletes. As official suppliers to the British Equestrian Teams, partners of numerous governing bodies and as dedicated horse advocates, NAF take Clean Sport incredibly seriously. For over 40 years, we have proudly maintained a clean record with no positive tests on our products.

Quality That Goes The Extra Mile
We are immensely proud that in over 40 years, no NAF product has ever led to a positive dope test.
With testing becoming increasingly extensive and advanced across all disciplines, we will not rest on our laurels and we continue to hold Clean Sport to the highest of priorities.
Any member of an equestrian sporting discipline eligible for participation can expect their horse(s) to be tested. This includes equestrian sports and member bodies such as British Dressage, British Eventing, British Showjumping, Para Equestrian Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Reining, Vaulting and British Riding Clubs.

NAF have always been very proud of their quality control methods, and being one of the first companies to comply with the BETA NOPS Scheme, we have since become registered as a GMP+ company. This is a huge accolade and we take it very seriously. As we take such rigorous quality control and assurance methods to uphold Clean Sport policy, we felt it necessary to raise awareness of Clean Sport and the importance of it to fulfil our role as Official Suppliers to the British Equestrian Teams, and loyal supporters of Equestrian Sport.
With so many different feeds and supplements available it is important to know, and to keep a record of, exactly what you are using. NAF continuously promote the values of Clean Sport and have launched a 'Feed and Supplements Log Book'. Allowing riders to record all feed and supplements to ensure full traceability and peace of mind, a log book is an essential item for every rider.

Clean Sport FAQs
Are NAF products BETA NOPS approved?
Yes, we are proud to have been accredited with the BETA NOPS Code for more than 10 years.
Are there any NAF products that don't comply with Clean Sport?
Just one. Devil’s Relief, contains Devil’s Claw, a natural ingredient that is prohibited for competition use under FEI rules. To ensure transparency, the product carries a clear advisory notice on both the front and back labels, as well as on our website. It is the only product in our range that carries this warning, making it easy for riders to identify. The label includes a recommended withdrawal period for those competing under FEI regulations. We always encourage riders competing under FEI or affiliated rules to carefully check product labels and refer to the latest competition guidelines. If you have any questions, our team is happy to provide guidance.
Why are NAF products tamper proof?
All our products are in tamper evident pots to ensure they reach your feed room in the same high standards that they leave our factory.
What if my tea and coffee facilities are in my feed room?
If you compete with your horse we advise ensuring that all horse feed, including their feed supplements, are stored securely in the feed room, and that the feed room should be free of any non-horse food, including tea and coffee. Don't forget to also ensure any medications prescribed to horses on the yard are locked away in a secure medicines cabinet - preferably stored where there can be no risk of accidental contamination in feed.
Should I have separate feed stirrers?
It is a good idea to have a separate feed stirrer and bucket, in a distinctly different colour, for use when administering any prescription medicines. That way it helps to minimise the risk of accidental contamination for horses competing under rules.
